Description
Noise: Mare Island Shipyard. MIDD? Two ferry boats in for repair are generating own power vs. being plugged into local grid. Continuous 24 hr droning noise from engines/ generators. Per COV agreement, they are to use local power plug in. What is the recourse for this?

Thank you for reporting this issue.
Assuming the boats were the national geographic cruise ships that were recently at MIDD, our guess is that the noise was from MIDD’s emergency generators they must run to their pump house during the power outage warnings.
MIDD confirmed their ships do not run on generators, however, they recently installed an emergency generator (on November 2nd) in their ship yard. This generator is connected to their pump house and runs when there are power outage warnings as the pump house cannot stop working.
Thank you.
