I saw Quartet at the Criterion around 2 PM on Sunday, February 24th. I have parked before in the garage diagonally across and tried there. The gates were down. I drove down George and around the corner but the entrance to the Temple St. garage on Frontage Rd. was closed. I tried the garage on George in the block between Temple and High and it was closed. I asked the ticket person at the Criterion (after parking on the street) why it was closed. She said that the manager said something about the entrance on the other side --gesturing toward Chapel St. Thanks for your prompt reply. As I said, I often park on the street, but many people don't wish to do so. Sarah

I will talk to our staff tomorrow and see if there was a mechanical problem or if there was just confusion about which gate to use - crown or George. Either way we ought to be certain The Criterion and others know what's happening at our garages in real time.

As per our Chariman's request, we have checked and confirmed that there were no problems with the equipment on Sunday February 24, 2013 at the Temple Street Garage - the garage was open on Sunday and George Street right lane entrance was opened. I will have staff keep a close eye on the Frontage Rd Entrance as well, because while reports are good, eye witnesses are better. In general coming from Crown Street, the Gateway Community College garage is closed on the weekend, and the very next entrance is to the basement of the Temple Street Garage, which is closed as well. However, the second Temple Street Garage entrance which leads to the upper levels is open 24hrs. Also, continuing down Crown Street onto College and then onto George Street, the Temple Medical Garage is also closed on the weekend. We are working to improve our signage, and we will also be reaching out to the Criterion, etc. so they have the best possible information on our garage operations, entrances and exits.
