Our inspector has initiated a public nuisance case with a deadline of August 10. The inspector will follow up until the issue is cleared.

They cross that lawn all day long with no concern whatsoever, the present tenants who have young children have added much garbage of their own and have NO care about picking it up or depositing any in the dumpster right across the street at the community center. Every day there is more food waste and beer bags from passers by as it's so gross. Where are the landlords in all this? It has been over a month, can you say disease from rats, fleas, flies and roaches ? tired of waiting till the 10th of August. SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING . The Mattresses out back have been there for along time. HOW CAN THE CITY LET KIDS LIVE AND PLAY IN THIS MESS?

As noted below, the residents have until August 10 to clear this up. If they do not, the inspector will move to hire a contractor to abate the problem and place a lien on the property for the cost. One way or the other, the inspector will follow up to make sure it gets cleaned up.
