Thank you for reporting! Public Works has one full-time Maintenance worker whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. This person usually makes 2 or more trips to the dump everyday, with each load weighing in around 1,200 pounds. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.

it doesn't matter what happens in your neighborhood, if homeless scum burn it down or gang bangers shoot it up, the liberal democrats in city hall say " F " you to you and the rest of the voters, you vote for and elect democrats and this is what you get and deserve !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why there is only one full-time maintenance worker to do this job when the problem is so enormous. If the city can't afford to put more employees on this detail, why not contract out some of the work?

The city has in fact hired more employees to handle illegal dumping. We also have on order two new trucks to go out and respond to these calls. As often as possible I have two employees out on the one truck we have now, five days a week. I am also working on changing the "dumping of the truck arrangement" we are currently working under. This will allow for quicker responses, and get the trash truck back out on the streets quicker. Thank you for your patients on this issue.
