Corner of Rockfalls and Riverside at 8000 block of Riverside Drive. Cars turning left or right from Rockfalls on Significant safety risk:
Cars at the stop sign at Riverside Drive and Rockfalls Drive cannot see traffic moving east (toward Williams Dam)
Drivers have to get into the east bound lane of Riverside and risk getting hit by cars traveling from 25-40 mph.
PLEASE have the owner of this lot mow that corner segment of his lot high enough up the hill that the view is not obstructed. This is an ongoing problem. The property should be mowed at that intersection regularly.

The initial complaint after months was finally satisfied when the high weeds were cut. A number of people forwarded this concern to Click-Fix.
Now that spring and rain have caused new growth, the weeds are already high enough to block all visibility when trying to turn left from Rockfalls onto Riverside.
I will send another request if necessary.
I will add that if the city is liable for not taking care of dangerous situations like this, they are definitely liable in this situation. It is ongoing and last year it took a couple of months to get resolution. An accident would involve either cars or bike and car or pedestrian and car. Not good.

This request is for the city to mow, or fine the owner for not mowing, the high weeds/brush at the corner of Rockfalls and Riverside. This same situation was reported in the spring of 2012 and it took 2 months or more for the area to be mowed. It is a life threatening situation. Riverside has car, bike and pedestrian traffic. Drivers exiting Rockfalls cannot see traffic on Riverside until they are literally in the east bound lane of Rockfalls. Pedestrians pushing a baby carriage or walking their dogs - both of which would place the carriage or dogs ahead of the pedestrian and into the roadway before the car's driver could see them. This almost caused what would have been a deadly accident last spring.
This was never an issue with the prior owner. The city must take care of this or be liable for suit.
Thank you. I drive Riverside every day so I'll be looking for that corner to be maintained.
