I had to visit the tax assessors office because of a motor vehicle issue on Tuesday 7-5-2022.
I was appalled at the behavior of the employee behind the counter at 9:10, as I had to wait and others for her to get off her personal phone call with doctors and pharmarcy, because she retired and had to get her personal issues in order.
if she retired what is she doing back at work? From what I witnessed she's not that value.
The line of TAXPAYERS started to increase and others from the back came out to assist, one actual asked her to get off the phone or go to the back of the office, she had the Audicity to say she was on a break. the office just opened. How can you possibly be on a break.
once she finally decided to get to work she was rude, loud and dismissive with the people who PAY HER SALARY.
Totally unpropfessional, and unacceptable!!!!

Last year I was told, "Only One City Resident" was employed at the Bpt. Tax Office. One can easily assume that ratio is replicated in other departments. It would be interesting to see what the actual percentage of Taxes are going back into Bridgeport and how much is going to support other municipalities Tax Base? City Council members should be tasked with determining that %...
Mayor Ganim lives in Easton, but owns a condo in Blackrock, rented out, so that address is listed as his "Bridgeport Residence".
