Seems to me they have no were else so they just make due were they are. I remember when a bunch of them were in the old Holy Family Hospital after it closed, befor that it was the boarded up Scott National building and befor that it was likely somewhere else. Chasing them to a new aria won't fix the problem and demolishing old buildings just drives them outdoors.
Long term problems require far sighted solutions and City Hall is kinda short sighted at the best of times.

I appreciate everyones opinions but again my focus was on the seniors in our building and their right to live life without fear and intimidation(real or perceived) for now the problem appears to be resolved.

I have worked hard all my life and I enjoy a nice home, a beautiful and intelligent wife, three grown kids who all have good careers happening and just about everything a man could want. But when I was younger I was living a scant few dollars from where the homeless people are now so I feel for them. I got out of the rut and I made a better life for myself but not everyone can do that. So please have a little compassion for them because we are all just one disaster away from joining them. Instead of demanding they get removed go down to Timmy’s and pick up one of those big jugs of coffee and a bunch of cups and pour a few rounds, you will make some new friends and find out that contrary to popular belief they are not dangerous or diseased or whatever other nasty thing you may think. They are just people who are not as well off as you and I.

I stopped by there yesterday, and while no person was in sight, there is still evidence of people living there. Boxes and sleeping blankets etc are still under the trees looking quite messy.
If the City is so concerned about the length of the weeds I allowed to grow on my property to discourage the drunks from sleeping in my yard at night, WHY DONT THEY CLEAN UP THEIR OWN MESS ON CITY PROPERTY! (intentionally yelling)
