HI just visited the amazing and newly opened "East Rock Market" -which is clean and wonderful. Not a single employee of any of the open food vendors was wearing a mask. I mentioned it to one vendor - and they said no one told them that New Haven had a mask mandate. Please go by and tell them so that they can stay in business, because so many East Rock people will avoid them until they wear masks. Plenty of outdoor seating by the way - should be lovely, once they figure out masks.

Newly opened Camacho Garage on Fountain Street has been operating at well over the percentage guidelines for the state of Connecticut. As a family that owns and operates a small business within the same vicinity we, along with our employees, cannot afford to be shut down again due to lack of respect for the rules put in place to prevent spread. The concern of those that live and/or operate businesses in the westville area are becoming more and more concerned. We all appreciate and applaud the transformation to the location. However, as we teach children, rules are rules. They are put in place for a reason. Please look into this location in an attempt to prevent another spike in the area. UNH is currently experiencing a significant climb. The business owners and all their employees simply cannot afford another shutdown following a spike in the virus.

Last month I posted about a butcher at P&M Orange St Market consistently wearing his mask below his face, despite my complaints. (I remembered this guy—an older man with gray facial hair—in particular because he was openly grumbling about COVID not being a big deal at the beginning of the pandemic.) One morning this week I was back in the store and saw the same guy with his mask below his mouth, working with food, and helping customers.

I’m not in the habit of ratting people out like this. I would just like to feel safe when I shop at a favorite local establishment.

Delaney's Grille and Taproom neglecting Phase 2.1 and exceeding the 50% capacity. There looks to be a private party on one side where a small room is crammed (no social distancing whatsoever) with massless people. The other side looks to be completely neglecting the rules/restrictions as well. Called the health department and was told via voice recording to post on here.

I contacted the owner of the property and complain that the trash is bringing mouse into my property but they have not done anything about it. This represent a health hazard. Please do something about it.

Over 1000+ students from nearby colleges (SCSU, Quinnipiac University, Yale University, Albertus Magnus College, etc.) were seen on multiple social media platforms partying and waiting in line to enter nearly on top of one another at Elm City Taphouse this past Thursday 8/27/2021 with no masks. Security and staff told the students to make it appear they have masks on until they enter the building, then can take them off. Multiple students have now reported symptoms of covid-19 and all are from different universities.

Sams store on Kimberly Ave are and still have been Violating Covid policies put in place for in order for convenience stores to reopen. They don’t wear mask and they allow customers to come purchase items without a mask on. I spoke to the owner Ali numerous times and NOTHING has changed!!!

These two barrels have been laying on the New Haven side of Morris Creek since earlier this week. They may have been stirred up by the storm on Wednesday.
