Description
On garbage pick-up days, after the trucks have done their job, there are garbage cans left in the street, behind parked cars, in the middle of driveways and in fact almost anywhere except where they were placed by the homeowners earlier in the day. Merton is a very busy street, and if you arrive home during rush hour to find a garbage can blocking your driveway, you have to inconvenience two lanes of traffic while you stop your car, get out and move the can to the side. Is it not possible for our sanitary engineers to put the cans back where they found them - or at least not behind parked cars or in the middle of driveways?

I appreciate how frustrating that can be. If you notice this happening again, please feel welcome to contact me at councillor_matlow@toronto.ca. I'm the local city councillor for our ward (Ward 22) and am always available to do what I can to be of assistance.
Best regards,
Josh Matlow
