Just painted. Just painted red. Please advise? We cannot park in front of our house?

Gonna hazard to guess because pedestrians crossing westbound on Lake Murray from the NW corner to the NE corner cannot see southbound traffic on Maryland if a car(s) is/are parked there. Especially kids from Maryland Elementary who may not be able to see over a parked car. I'm guessing this is a safety issue and nobody owns the public roadway outside of their house!.🤷 The city can add red curbing on curbs to enhance safety for pedestrians.

I’ve lived on this end of Maryland Ave for 23 years, we need all the parking we can get because so many people from the apartments park on our street. If the concern is visibility then red curb 6 or 8 feet not 20 feet. I think this is something the city decided to do to solve the problem with the vehicle sensors that were installed to close to the right side when they replaced them a few years ago. The light hasn’t worked right since because the parked cars were tripping the light.

Might want to look at residents only parking like they have on East and West Wellesley Streets.

I would not mind if someone asked us to park farther up. Or if the city said it we don’t mind. I just wish we could have had communication if we are tripping the light or blocking from anyone seeing lights we can move or just paint red half way up?? I dunno just baffled at the size of the red.
