Tent, lots of belongings, illegal camping in front of the library

Trash is all around Memorial Auditorium on corner of S Winooski and Main on steps and around building. Unsightly and along the main gateway for tourists and residents to downtown.

Graffiti on Oakledge Pavilion - please remove and stay on top of cleaning off graffiti in our parks and along bike path - awful for residents and tourists alike to see this vandalism everywhere.

Curious about who is responsible for trimming/landscaping inside the fence at the water reservoir opposite the Davis Center. It has grown tremendously this summer and is on the verge of overtaking the well-used sidewalk to and from town. Between the sidewalk and the street has also not been mowed - not sure who is responsible for that. Also who is responsible for mowing the median in the middle of Williston Road from the UVM Green to I-89? It is overgrown and looks a bit embarrassing for UVM and Champlain parents/students who are now starting to arrive. Thanks for cleaning and tidying up this area that is supposed to be the welcoming entrance to Burlington.

The new paving is great on S. Willard Street and up on Main Street close to the UVM Green and Davis Center. But the project has not been completed yet as the manhole covers in the middle of the streets have not yet been paved/smoothed over so it is easy to hurt your tires. A particularly good example is at the top of Bradley Street and S. Willard Street where there are two very uneven manhole covers in the middle street interfering with turning on to Bradley Street. I am worried with all the traffic coming with students moving in that this will prove a problem.

Lots of graffiti on back of water works building at new Waterfront Park. Also looks like new graffiti on old Moran Plant. Is there a plan so people can’t climb up and vandalize the structure and the coming new paint?

In addition to the amazing amount of graffiti all over Burlington, this is on the bus shelter right in front of Champlain College in plain view of visiting potential new students, a turn-off for sure. Graffiti is all over including the brand new building along the bike path off Flynn Avenue, the Consolidated Communications Building and Memorial Auditorium in Main Street and back by the library, on Burlington Telecom, Advance Music on Maple Street. What is the city’s graffiti prevention plan? Is anti-graffiti coating/paint such as sold by Sherwin Williams required or provided by the city to businesses? Some areas in town seem to be magnets for graffiti - what ongoing deterrence measures can be put in those places? What laws, penalties, consequences and surveillance exist to keep the city attractive and so businesses do not look run down and unsuccessful? Thank you.

Please remove/cover over the derogatory comment about police on the S. Union Street side of the old YMCA building. I keep thinking someone will have noticed it over the last 3-4 weeks, but still there.

Graffiti still on the S. Union Street side of the old New England Telephone building across from Memorial Auditorium as well. That block including Memorial Auditorium seems to be a target for graffiti. Are there surveillance cameras?

The amount of graffiti on the Y has dramatically increased. Are there surveillance cameras, regular patrols? Also Memorial Auditorium.
