Description
Every morning dozens, maybe hundreds of cars are aggressively speeding around pearl and lincoln to avoid the backup at the trumbull light. It is a residential street with families, a school, and lots of pedestrian and bike traffic. If the city doesnt do something about the impatient thru traffic here someone is going to get struck by a car.

B) This is probably more effective for the long term: Address why there is a backup on the off-ramp and on Trumbull between Orange and Whitney - either the lights, or street parking hours need to be adjusted so that morning traffic flows freely from Orange thru Whitney on Trumbull AND make Bradley St one way from Whitney towards Orange.

Never mind, you can just dump more traffic onto Willow St., the car sewer of East Rock.

I drive that street every day and have yet to see anyone "flying" as u say You must be the person who yelled at me to slow when I was only going 10mph. Pearl St by the coffee shop is too narrow, congested and is only 75 ft long to even go faster than 10 without hitting anyone or being able to negotiate the turns and moving cars/ pedestrians-
Please stand out there with a radar gun and see for yourself what you "THINK" is speeding- I guarantee that almost all people are driving less than 25mph.

I have a no thru traffic sign on my street and it does nothing unless it enforced- which it is not- so therefore is just a waste of time, effort and taxpayer dollars.
Maybe if you could get the city to properly time the lights at trumbull st traffic wouldn't back up and the issue would go away.
