Perhaps I was in error. My concern is the lack of sidewalks down Solano Avenue to the bus stops and transit center on Curtola. This means that there are also not sidewalk to Wilson Park. In my mind the absence of sidewalks on this part of Solano ave is hazard and I want to know why they are not there.
I am sorry if I misunderstood your post Susan. I thought you were speaking of the part of Rice that runs from Wallace to 9th.
Posting here is to identify where sidewalk money needs to be earmarked. It usually takes about three years to get the funds appropriated. Definately Pedestrian walking paths need to all be addressed if sidewalks are missing.
The front of Wilson park doesn't see much foot traffic. I would think foot traffic would try to avoid the cluster intersection near the Rail road tracks and Cortola, but what do I know, I don't travel by foot much..
Thanks Susan. This issue came up at the last meeting of Leachman Park Neighborhood Association and we weren't sure who was responsible for sidewalks. From your post I gather it is the city. Can the city staff that monitors this site confirm this please?
