Description
Charles County government has become hopelessly gridlocked. The business as usual crowd have stripped the commissioner president of her power, and brought the day to day business of the county to a near standstill. The planning commission refuses to listen to the voters. The old guard are desperately grabbing for they lost in the last election.

Alas the problems in Charles County remain. We are working on our Comprehensive Plan for 2012, but a majority on the Planning Commission are convinced that the old plan is "right on the money", and refused to even watch a presentation by the scientists and professionals who can show the cause and tragic effect of sprawl development. The Board of Commissioners are equally divided, and give the impression that personal animosity plays a greater role than the needs of the residents.
We are so close to our Nation's Capitol, one would think we could get more attention.
