Received the following from a neighbor this morning around 10:40 am. See below and attached photos.

“Good morning!
Who do we call at the city on the weekend ?
There is brown stuff pushing out of a pipe into the canal”

Checked multiple construction sites on drainage path. The most likely culprit is a contractor doing roadwork about a half mile away. The other sites in the area are either dormant or no in the phase that would produce this type of runoff.
Road work site was not discharging today, and this seems to have happened over the weekend.
Will continue to monitor all sites.

Checked day 3. No discharge.

Checked sites in area multiple times through multiple days and could not find point source. This likely occurred due to weekend road project that stopped before Monday.
Canal was clear all 3 days.
