Description
Very dangerous cross walk connecting two bus stops located directly in front of assisted living facility needs flashing yellow lights to assist pedestrians with traffic control while crossing. This is a high traffic area with extremely large and heavy vehicles traveling through all day long, many at speeds greater than posted limits. Many of the pedestrians who use this cross walk are children and older adults, often with disabilities or requiring mobility assistance. Current signs are not enough to prevent issues at this location, especially during low light conditions or inclement weather, which occurs often in this area. I live on the corner overlooking this crosswalk and can attest to the high number of "close calls" between pedestrians and vehicles that occur each week.
