Description

100 block of springs rd hasn't been repaved since back in the 70s before the train crossing was blocked off. I know this because I grew up on this street as well, you can see where the railroad crossing paint was removed from the roadway when the crossing was blocked off around 1985. It has deteriorated to the point that the original concrete footing of the sidewalk is exposed which should be covered by the asphalt layer that was applied the last time it was paved. Its so degraded that chunks of asphalt are breaking off from cars driving over it and leaving big chunks of roadway missing or loose which a vandal could possibly use as a tool for a quick and easy vehicle/home break in. I've also seen cars wheels pulled into the curb because of the steep drop off at the edge of the roadway if they park too close and makes it very difficult to turn out of the curb when leaving which also damages the vehicles wheels. (I cringe whenever I see it.) Its time for this roadway to be re-paved.
